Game of Thrones Season 2 & 3

It’s been a while since we have seen the juicy last episode of Game of Thrones season 2, and we have a while to wait still, before the first episode of Game of Thrones season 3 is out.

We have been trying to help you pass that time with stories of our favourite characters – Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, Tyrion Lannister the Imp, Robb Stark, the Young Wolf, Arya Stark, and others. We have told you a bit about the two most important houses in Westeros – House Lannister, and House Stark.

We did reviews on books that are out so far – A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons.

On our pages, you can even read interesting facts about the Night’s Watch, Westerlands and The North, about the fan based theories that concern the destinies of characters of A Song of Ice and Fire.

The Game of Thrones / Ice & Fire series

Like we said, it’s been ages since the Game of Thrones Season 1, and you can read recap of each episode on our pages. The same goes for Game of Thrones Season 2, but we have yet to see what will happen in Game of Thrones Season 3.

We know that there are some major differences between what happens in the books and what happens in the series. Well, that is to be expected because no film or series can capture all the details that a good book can. Actors that play our favourite and hated characters do a great job, there’s no denying that, but still, when you read a book, you can see exactly what their thoughts are.

In the series, on the other hand, you can actually see what everything actually looks like. I often happen to imagine characters a bit differently than they were described in the books, maybe because they remind of someone I know, so I associate them with that person’s looks.

It doesn’t really matter – the point is that you don’t have to imagine what some weird dish people of Westeros like to eat looks like, you can see it. And that’s where the beauty of the series lies. People are visual creatures, and Game of Thrones knows how to give us what we like.

So, talking about differences between the books and the series takes us to Game of Thrones season 3. In the second season, many characters that were in the books, didn’t appear in the series. Some of them will get the place they deserve in Game of Thrones season 3 – Jojen and Meera Reed, Olena Tyrell, Beric Dondarion, Thoros of Myr, just to name a few.

A Storm of Swords is a lengthy book full of events, so Game of Thrones season 3 won’t show everything that happens in it. Part of the third season will show events from A Clash of Kings, a second book, that were missed out in the second season. And also, the Game of Thrones season 4 will have events from the second part of the third book, A Storm of Swords, and who knows what else.

All we can say for sure is that there will definitely be plenty of surprises, both positive and negative.

A Song of Ice and Fire

So, while we are waiting half a year more for Game of Thrones season 3 to come out, feel free to treat yourself with all the articles and little stories we gathered here for you.

If you don’t despise reading, and you haven’t read the books yet, don’t hesitate to grab them and read the whole story. If you don’t want to know what happens in the following seasons of Game of Thrones, you can still read the first two books without any spoiler alerts.

You can play a Game of Thrones RPG game – it’s a lot of fun, and you can become one of the characters. Walk a mile in someone’s shoes, and have fun while doing it.

If you already did all of this, there’s an other option again. To help you pass the time, you can check out the show Spartacus. We told some basic facts about it, but all we can say is – check it out. If you love Game of Thrones, and you wouldn’t be reading this if you don’t, the chances are big you’ll love Spartacus as well. Blood, gore, sex, violence, all the good stuff. Just kidding, of course, but do check it out if you haven’t so far.
